    Role Summary:

    The Practice Lead– Digital Transformation is responsible for owning and creating the digital transformation solution set, services practice, sales activities, and solutions development within his/her assigned region. The role functions as a primary business owner, controlling the P&L as well as the development of the solutions business in the region. The practice lead is the technical and business owner, responsible for the go to market for consulting solutions, platform and the development of a pre-sales and delivery team, execution of sales collateral and driving marketing activities.

     

    The role also serves as the liaison between the business, customers and professional services / management consulting resources, which include both in-house and partner-delivered services. The practice lead will be required to maintain an advanced level of industry / technical knowledge across a dedicated set of focus business and technology areas in cloud computing and serve as the subject matter expert for that specific subject on a national and/or global scale.

     

    Practice Summary:

    The Digital transformation practice focuses on driving customer business value from investments in software and cloud platform. It is built upon a foundation of management consulting expertise, technology strategy expertise and data management platforms. While there will be no limitations on the publishers and vendors that can be included in these practice solutions, Microsoft Azure, Windows and Office365 are all foundational technologies within the solutions stack.

    Responsibilities

    Roles & Responsibilities:

     

    • Business Management
      • Creation and ownership of a business plan and go to market for public cloud solutions.
      • Management and ownership of the associated P&L for services and innovation.
      • Performance and success measured by EBITDA performance of region. Performance based quarterly incentives will be structured in commission format.
      • People leadership of Digital Transformation Practice team members
      • Develop training plans to ready the Practice team members for Service delivery
      • Complete quarterly and annual people management responsibilities in-line with Global guidelines
    • Consulting and Solutions
      • Design and develop initial iterations of the digital transformation solution set
      • Estimate the service design effort and cost
      • Articulate individual Service benefits and value proposition
      • Take services ideas and provide the technical and business insights to make them globally scalable and repeatable
      • Develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures
      • Implement initial iterations and evolve future iterations based on findings, feedback, and outcomes
      • Provide training to Sales organization of SoftwareONE Service offering, unique value proposition and capability to delivery

     

    • Sales and Marketing
      • Partner with sales teams and local sales leadership to drive net new business opportunities within the existing regional account base as well as supporting customer acquisition activities as assigned.
      • Prepare solutions for customers that include:
        • Cost estimates for licensing and product sales as well as professional services (e.g., deployment, migration, implementation, workshops, etc.) by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with other engineers, architects, practice leads and other professional and technical personnel (both internal and external).
      • Develop overall solutions blueprints including templates for;
        • High-level design (e.g. whiteboarding), statements of work (SOW), service design and bills of materials (BOM).
      • Manage sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; provide information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommend options and courses of action; implement directives.
    • General Business Development, Marketing, & Partnerships
      • Own partnership/alliance functions to assigned partner relationships. This may include being primary contact for Partner/Channel Account Managers and assisting in GTM and business planning as well as driving forward programmatic initiatives.
      • Develop relationships and act as liaison to local partners (VARs, publishers, distribution, etc.) to ensure available resources are being utilized where appropriate.
      • Act as a technical evangelist for marketing activities including speaking/presenter engagements at conferences, conventions, user groups, webinars, etc.
      • Partner with stakeholders and drive solution marketing activities by preparing and delivering content and messaging.
    • Misc
      • Travel required up to 50%.
      • Maintain and report on regional service delivery, sales pipeline, and project status.
      • Maintain and acquire advanced level technical certification in assigned area and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

     

    • 6-12 years of experience in relevant fields
    • Demonstrable business consulting background
    • Proven real world service & solution build experience
    • End-to-end solution lifecycle creation
    • Understanding and application of project management methodologies such as Agile and PMP, including exceptional skill sets in scoping, design, and delivery
    • Deep understanding of Cloud platform automation and intelligence
    • Must-have: product management background, business ownership and build experience
    • University degree preferred (in the field of Information Technology and/or or equivalent combination of experience and education; Master’s degree preferred)
    • Ability to hire, mentor, manage and ensure performance of a team
    • Documented successful sales of enterprise-wide solutions or services
    • Ability to independently conduct meetings with C-level, engineering-level, management-level or executive level customer personnel in regard to positioning sales and solutions
    • Ideal candidate would also have deep expertise in the following industries to add industry-specific content & view as part of our services: healthcare, government, manufacturing, retail, financial services and education.
