  • Responsibilities

    Business Unit Management:

    • Assists in developing VARassist guidelines, practices and “on-boarding” processes and procedures
    • Provides assistance to Marketing Department in generation of materials
    • Development of a VARassist newsletter (with support of SoftwareONE Marketing Dept.)
    • Manages VARassist partner influence reporting to appropriate publisher contacts
    • Assist in the best methodologies and means to grow the swo business from the VARAssist program
    • Understand the services each VARAssist partner offers , especially those partners where we may be able to respond with opportunities for their unique services that SWO does not offer yet and are interesting to our mutual customers

     

     

    Account Management:

    • Be the “face” and “go to” person for VARAssist partners
    • Develop Co- selling strategy with each VARAssist Partner
    • Prioritize the VARAssist partners, maintain this list
    • Arrange QBR bi annually
    • Annual Review
    • Develops a quarterly plan of action to determine a guide for reaching all goals established for the upcoming 2 quarters
    • Develops and maintains levels of expertise in Key Publisher products, license program.
    • Manages VARassist account relationships at the executive level
    • Attends VarAssist SWO training and seminars when necessary
    • Provides training to key VARassist Partners on how to effectively use the program
    • Ensures each partner is on a current VARAsssit contract
    • Ensures all contract paperwork is complete and negotiates fee schedule
    • Manage the previous CompuCom Lar to VAR partners over to the SWO VarAssist program
    • Provide strong vision and a deep understanding of VARassist strategy and go-to-market to fit SoftwareONE growth and profit expectations within the allocated portfolio of clients.
    • Maintain a high-level of solution and licensing knowledge across publishers and VarAssist verticals
    • Ensure there are no conflicts of interest between the VARAsssit partners that offer CSP and those that want to use SWO CSP Indirect (T2) services

     

    Sales Management:

    • Manages the revenue and GP stream from the VARassist Partner Program and provides projections
    • Maintains a pipeline report, weekly reports and all documentation to support business opportunities and new sales
    • Works with SWO sales leaders and BDM where applicable to manage leads from VARassist Partners.  Leads will be funneled to the appropriate sales representative.
    • Ensures that there is alignment and engagement with appropriate SoftwareONE sales staff
    • Drive assigned VARassist Sales and GP contribution
    • Collaboration with all SoftwareONE Teams to increase sales and market penetration into the VARAsssit clients delivering best-in-class customer experience.
    • Ensure local execution into of the VARassist Business settle global partners.
    • Manage the Sales pipeline of VARassist business team working with Business Development Managers and using SoftwareONE tools.
    • Assist worldwide teams with VARassist partnership strategy.
    • Conduct ongoing sales and product positioning training for the SoftwareONE Sales Team.
    • Ability to complete manufacturer sales and technical certifications required to maintain and expand authorizations.
    • Provide onsite customer presales support and attend vendor events when required.
    • Interact closely with the SoftwareONE Technical Solutions Team to ensure they are up to date with important subject matter.
    • Develop business and marketing plans and strategically execute against the plan within the timeframe committed.
    • Develop and maintain publisher relationships in an effort to identify new business opportunities and sales engagements.

     

    Marketing:

    • Promotes the VARassist program to the publisher’s management team and inside/outside sales staff
    • Develops a methodology on how to co-sell with each partner
    • Develops relationships with the VARassist partners Marketing Departments
    • Works with SoftwareONE marketing department in the development of Key Partner Marketing Events and Programs

     

     

    Qualifications

    • College degree required
    • 4+ years experience in selling and marketing microcomputer related products and services
    • Experience with database (CRM) and email marketing concepts and practices
    • Ability to facilitate and mange partners needs and know how to co sell with them
    • Knowledge of Volume Licensing Programs
    • Knowledge of software products
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
    • Moderate travel required
