  • Overview

    Working in a team environment, the Consultant will work as an individual contributor and would be responsible for deploying and managing the SNOW SAM Tool and other SAM Solutions. The Technical SAM Consultant is also responsible of keeping the Global SAM Team aware of technology changes and what are the best practices for different solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Key Focus and Objectives for Role:
      • Installing, supporting, trouble-shooting and training of SNOW SAM tool
      • Executing Proof of Concepts in customer environments
      • Supporting and training of global SAM team on various SAM Solutions
      • Managing and supporting hosted and on premise SAM solutions
      • Technical consultants acts as a bridge between SoftwareONE and SAM Solution Providers

     

     

    • Roles & Responsibilities:
      • Consulting customers regarding SAM solution requirements
      • Implement / Configure SNOW SAM tool and transfer knowledge to customers
      • Manage the hosted SNOW platform
      • Interact directly with customers to troubleshoot and solve configuration issues
      • Document customer configurations within their environment
      • Creating technical and functional documentation as per requirements
      • Supporting and training of internal SAM Consultants and customers
      • External technical coordination with customers and SAM tool providers

    Qualifications

    • Experience and Technical Competence :
      • Full-Time Graduate in Computer Science / Information Technology / Equivalent diploma in IT or relevant discipline. Candidates with SAM Certification is (preferable)
      • 3-7 years of proven experience in IT Service Desk / Remote support team
      • Knowledge and Experience of SNOW tool implementation
      • Other SAM Tool experience, preferably the top ones such as Brainware ( Spider ), Flexera, Aspera, IBM Tivoli, HP Asset Manager

     

    • Advanced technical skills regarding system platforms (client & server) and other midrange environments
    • Solid understanding of IT environments and infrastructure (Infra and Networking)
    • Ability to install / configure SAM solutions remotely
    • SQL scripting, PowerShell scripting, handling Windows Performance & Memory management, Windows registry, Patch deployment
    • Managing Windows Server environment, backup & restoration Database Server & File server.
    • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, User Management, Working with Citrix, VM, Windows Server Administration etc. is a must.
    • Knowledge of CMDB’s, and Software Management tools / solutions highly desired.
    • Experience with other platforms such as IBM, Unix, Linux, Mac is a plus
    • Excellent communication skills

     

     

    • Additional Experience:

     

    • ITIL V3 foundation certification.
    • Sound knowledge with IT Remote Support and tools e.g. LogMeIn, Bomgar, Team Viewer, WebEx etc.
    • Familiarity / proficiency in Foreign languages e.g. German, Spanish, French, Portuguese.
