    Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

     

    SoftwareONE offers a comprehensive service portfolio to its customers. As part of its Software Portfolio Management (“SPM”) offering, SoftwareONE provides “Software Procurement Services”, “Software Asset Management”, and “Technology Advisory Services”, as well as Vendor specific Advisory Services. Within the SPM service organisation the SAP Advisory Services Consultant is fully focused on selling and delivering Licensing, Procurement and Technology expertise for SAP customers.

     

    As such we are looking for highly experienced and dynamic individuals to not only promote and deliver SoftwareONE’s SAP licensing advisory and procurement services, but also, in conjunction with the Global SAP Advisory Services lead, be directly involved in the creation, development and roll-out of the services world-wide.

     

    The SAP Software Advisory Services Consultant is focused on growing the local SAP Advisory Services business. This includes the sales activities, the further development of the services, their localization according to market specific requirements and supporting the profitable growth of this business vertical. It also includes ensuring that the internal service delivery is performed at a high quality – on-site and off-site.

     

    In collaboration with the Global SAP Advisory Services Lead, the position holder is responsible for ensuring timely and effective delivery of SAP services (both personally and via other country based, regional and global resources), and collaborates closely with other business verticals, to ensure that SoftwareONE’s offerings are clearly articulated and explained according to customers’ business needs. Also responsible for developing a local joint sales and delivery strategy.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    • Service Development and Enablement activities (approx. 20%)
      • Based on the global strategy, adopt and implement a local SAP Advisory Services offering
      • Contributes to the further development of the SoftwareONE Services offerings
      • Exchanges experiences and best practices with his colleagues of the global Services network
      • Responsible to develop, grow and maintain the local SAP Software Advisory Services Business
      •  
    • Sales and Pre-Sales activities (approx. 20-30%)
      • Prospect for potential new customers and turn this into increased business
      • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the customer’s needs, concerns, and objectives. Develop and conduct proposal presentations at different levels with the customer
      • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion
      • Coordinates, monitors and supports the sales activities for SAP Advisory Services
      • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations
      •  
    • Service Delivery activities (approx. 50-60%)
      • Performs and – supported by the global SAP Advisory Services team ensures – the local delivery of SAP Advisory Services engagements
      • Is accountable for the service delivery of the local SAP Advisory Services projects
      • Manages projects in its entirety for allocated projects
      • Assists with the co-ordination of the on-boarding and training of SoftwareONE employees involved in SAP Advisory Services delivery and sales
      • Primary focus on building SoftwareONE’s Swiss SAP business, but also providing strong support for the German market and elsewhere in EMEA as appropriate.
      • Includes local specifics in the training concepts provided by the Global SAP Advisory Services organization

    • Global SAP Advisory Services Lead
    • Global Software Procurement Services network
    • Local Software Procurement and SAM Services team
    • Closely partners and collaborates with other departments and functions (including but not limited to BDM’s (Sales), Inside sales, shared services center, Technical Consultants, Cloud, IT, BI and Legal), to ensure all departments and business units understand the SAP Advisory Services, and the organization can deliver the services at consistently high quality.

    Qualifications

    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:  

    • Required - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (economy or IT) and / or
    • Several years working experience in software license sourcing specifically related to SAP and associated software
    • Advanced knowledge of SAP software and licensing contract terminology
    • Experience in the area of services outsourcing (as customer and/or provider)
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Proven negotiation skills in a Software environment, SAP experience highly preferred
    • Excellent relationship management skills and assertiveness
    • Good analytical skills and strategic thinking
    • Proactive, dynamic, and able to identify and deliver quality work even when unsupervised
    • Fluent in written and spoken English
    • Travel Activities: approx. 25%
