  • Overview

    Running large SPM managed services engagements and once-off SPM projects of complex nature. Supporting and coordinating Associates activities, while supporting Snr Consultant in the execution of consultancy design and implementation activities.

    Responsibilities

    Core Accountabilities

    • Small and mid-size project teams
    • Project coordination & collaboration amongst the team
    • Effectively levering, educating lower skilled personnel in large projects
    • Ensure successful delivery of larger engagements with medium complexity based on best practices
    • Right sizing & customization of non-standardized services
    • Demonstrate leadership for consulting services across Delivery Functions (Plan, Build, Run)
    • Frequently produces content for the service community internally and externally (community, blogs, whitepapers, ...)
    • Possess foundational working knowledge of general principles of IT Industry Standards (ITIL, Six Sigma)
    • Ability to lead engagement with efficient use of resources
    • Drive consultative selling activities within a customer environment
    • Very good communication skills
    • Strong documentation skills
    • Fluent in verbal and written English
    • Should have very good problem solving skills

    Job Specific

    • Design and implementation of Software Asset Management solutions in customer’s environments
    • Performing an inventory of installed software
    • Technical Implementation of ITAM or ITSM tools in a customer facing environment.
    • Supporting SAM team with regards to technical queries and support with tool deployment
    • Deployment of Inventory & monitoring tools
    • Setting customers up on hosted platform & providing technical support
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve the complex issues
    • Good knowledge on communication protocols
    • External technical and project coordination with customers and SAM tool providers
    • Business process analysis, create, implement business and optimize business processes
    • SAM project leadership
    • Executing SAM projects, rollout and transfer of a running system to the customer
    • Direct customer contact; working at customer location
    • Investigation and clarification with the software publishers
    • Assist in the development of the SAM services and strategy

    • Knowledge of LDAP queries

    Job Specific

    • Advanced technical skills regarding system platforms (client & server) and other midrange environments
    • Strong in project management and project leadership and skills in business process analysis
    • Practical experience with IP networking and troubleshooting
    • Experienced in configuring DNS, AD & DHCP to be able to identify where problems related to these services could cause issues in the deployment of the ITAM toolset
    • Competent in the use of SCCM
    • Understanding of IT environments and infrastructure (Infra and Networking)
    • Ability to install / configure SAM solutions remotely preferably Brainware ( Spider ) OR Flexera OR Snow OR Aspera, ILMT, HP Asset Manager
    • Good knowledge on SCCM
    • General understanding of SAM tool underlying technologies and inventory methods.
    • Ability and discipline to understand / work to and deliver against statements of works and project plans.
    • Keen to contribute to service development.
    • Administrative discipline and time management skills.
       

     

    Qualifications

    • SAM Tool certifications (Brainware OR Flexera OR SNOW OR Aspera, ILMT, HP)
    • Practical Windows 8 & 2000 Advanced Server - Windows Server 2012 Datacenter experience
    • Design, implement, review and test SAM Tools
    • Implementation & management of Microsoft SQL Server
    • Very good knowledge of SQL scripting, PowerShell scripting, handling Windows Performance & Memory management, Windows registry, Patch deployment, Managing Windows Server environment, backup & restoration Database Server & File server.
    • Sound general technical capability across various technologies
