    The Business Owner - Cloud Support is responsible for contribution to solution design, service delivery, delivery capacity and capability enrichment to support the growth of the Cloud Support service. 

     

    The role also serves as the liaison between the business, customers and professional services delivery resources which include both in-house and partner delivered services. 

    Responsibilities

    Manages on a global basis the strategic activities for the Cloud Managed Services business unit. Has the accountability directing the business across service verticals and platform with significant impact on the global strategy and its direct results. This includes driving the business to an optimized and profitable stage globally and align the roadmap across services, solutions and platform.

    Applies expert subject matter knowledge to direct, build, manage the service- or business unit as per defined direction, and ensures the success on a strategic but also operational and technical level.

    Acts as key advisor, innovator and thought leader within the subject matter and supports the global design, go to market with sales efforts and delivery capabilities & capacity within the Dynamic Resource Model (DRM).

     

    • Owning the service- or business unit / category horizontally across the business
    • Provides strategic, operational and technical direction and alignment with global initiatives within services and platform
    • Providing the global direction as the subject matter expert
    • Vendor relationship management
    • Coordinating the operational and technical plans with sub-business owners
    • Owning the business plan with investment and associated ROI (business case)
    • Support in approval business case(s) for the category
    • Definition of the roadmap in conjunction with the overall leaders of services, solutions and platform
    • Build the execution plan based on the roadmap including KPIs
    • Provide business requirements for the service / solution / platform design (Build / Maintain / Evolve) and work with Solution Architect(s) to develop prioritized roadmap supporting the defined business requirements and industry trends
    • Own and deliver solution enablement aligned to solution roadmap and ensure solution collateral is up to date with latest solution capabilities
    • Actively tries to understand the emerging business trends (financial, operational, technical and human) through interaction with clients and industry peers and is able to discuss them and provide inputs as and when required.
    • Manage and support market segment growth through its enablement (sales and delivery training)
    • Works with Country leads and solution champions to build marketing and sales strategies to achieve budget and market segment growth
    • Provide thought leadership in highly complex projects/programs throughout the pre-sales and initial planning process
    • Developing and supporting a local champions network (country level)
    • Skills scoping, delivery model definition and support building the delivery engine together with the delivery manager, ensuring the appropriate skills / capabilities within the service delivery team (Local/Hubs/GSDC/partner)
    • Supporting in deal reviews on a local level where needed
    • Support in skills hiring initiatives
    • Support in developing local training plans to ready the local subsidiary
    • Provide training to local Sales organization of SoftwareONE Service offering and unique value proposition
    • Leads the Knowledge Management responsibilities for the specific service- or business unit

    Qualifications

    • Relevant University degree or equivalent certification
    • Detailed understanding of organizational structure, delivery requirements and services provided within is practice domain of expertise
    • Full understanding of SoftwareONE delivery and project management tools, processes, governance and advanced reporting at a CIO level
    • 6 to 8 years directly related experience
    • Strong industry vision and an understanding of various technologies and how its integration into horizontal and vertical markets.
    • Demonstrates a broad network within the specific domain
    • Understanding not only competitive technology, but fundamental changes to the software and technology business will be important.
    • Identify potential vendors / partners which complement SoftwareONE Services, Solutions or Platform and include these companies within the SoftwareONE VAR-assist partner program
    • Listening to customers, probing for business process pains and opportunities, in an effort to meet or exceed their expectations.
      • Has or is developing skills in functional & business knowledge:
        • Project/program planning,
        • Assessment and management,
        • Business development, account management & engagement pursuit,
        • Financial fundamentals & forecasting methods,
        • Capacity Mngt & capability planning.
    • Demonstrates broad knowledge of corporate organization, culture, policies, products, markets and processes.

    • Driving the design and configuration of Integrated Managed Services solutions to address the needs of clients across a wide range of industries and technologies;
    • Designing the, solution, configuration and delivery of successful high risk IT projects;
    • Experience managing / developing an Enterprise class ITSM Platform (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, CA, etc.)
    • Experience managing / developing an Enterprise class ITOM Platform (e.g., ScienceLogic, HPOM, CA Spectrum, BMC, Splunk!, SolarWinds etc.)
