  • Overview

    Responsible for all direct and indirect tax compliance and internal reporting
    matters in LATAM (20 countries). This role is new established and based in
    Mexico-City and reports to the Global Head of Tax in Switzerland.


    Managing income tax declaration (incl. tax balance sheet, non-deductible
    expenses, current and deferred income tax, reconciliation effective tax rate
    vs. statutory tax rate)
    2 Monitoring indirect tax (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.) by spot checks and ERP
    setup verifications
    3 Monitoring correct withholding tax application (in accordance with double
    taxation treaty law)
    4 Managing local files for transfer pricing purposes
    5 Centralizing tax information / issuing tax newsletter and tax alerts
    6 Identifying tax risks and incentives / monitoring tax receivable and payable
    7 Conducting internal audits / supervising external audits
    8 Supporting and training local finance team in tax compliance matters

    9 Consulting sales organization in complex deal structures (business
    10 Implementing tax regulations into the ERP landscape (e.g. when launching
    new products/services, or when law changes in general, etc.)
    11 Relationship management towards external stakeholder
    12 Involvement in various group tax projects
    13 Ensuring correct internal tax reporting to Group


    Bachelor/Master degree in finance or tax
    2 5+ years full-time experience in direct and indirect tax laws of LATAM
    countries of a MNC (ideally big4 experience beforehand)
    3 Good accounting and IT (ERP) knowledge
    4 Ability to manage tight deadlines and to work in fast-pace environment
    5 Very service and solution oriented and strongly self-organized team player
    with hands-on working style
    6 Native Spanish-speaking
    7 Fluent English-speaking
    8 Willingness to travel (approx. 25%)
