    Responsibilities

    • The Sales Director will develop, execute and own the SoftwareONE strategy within the UK market. We want you to continue build our presence in the UK market, maintaining our current relationships and winning new customers. Working with your local team, with colleagues in the region and global service leaders, you will develop our market position and sell our solutions, building both advisory services as well as long term scalable managed services revenue.
    • The Sales Director will be accountable for the achievement of the UK Revenue and Margin target. The Sales Director will ensure that SoftwareONE has the capability and sales organisation structure required going forward to ensure it delivers on its strategy both at a UK group level. Priority is to grow profitable managed services business from new and existing customers, which will lead to a growing contract book of long-term customer relationships. It is important that sales are leveraging the breadth of SoftwareONE’s services capabilities and are effective in cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the existing account base as well as within new customers.
    • The Sales Director is a member of the UK Senior Management Team and responsible for the entire sales function including: 5 Sales Managers, c40 Account managers; Inside Sales Leader and 11 Sales Executives; 9 Solutions Specialists (including 2 managers); Marketing Manager plus 5 marketers (events, alliances etc.). The combined staff of these teams is approximately 60 members.
    • The Sales Director will be an active contributor to and advocate of SoftwareONE UK’s managed services strategy, as well as, its implementation and communication across the wider business. The Sales Director will be driving a modern approach to selling managed services, customer engagement and customer success.
    • The Sales Director will play an active role in supporting the sales teams through personally nurturing and developing large / key customers and enabling the business to grow and capture market share.
    • The Sales Director will be a mentor and coach to the sales and services professional; a thought leader and role model in how to effectively sell managed services and enable customers to transition to this type of contract.
    • The Sales Director will ensure the ongoing recruitment, development and retention of A-players across the sales, services and corporate teams.
    • The Sales Director will implement an appropriate sales compensation scheme to support the new sales model and encourage the right collaborative behaviours across the sales organisation.

    Qualifications

    • Have been a business leader with deep experience in IT Managed Services &/Or Cloud
    • Have led sales teams in the transition to selling managed services contracts; understands how to influence and drive successful change in sales strategies and processes
    • Have gained strong understanding of how to bring new service based solutions to market and how to build/sell the value proposition
    • Have been and continue to be a high performing seller
    • Have experience working in a mix of small and midsize companies
    • Are a UK market expert with a very strong customer network
    • Have a very strong competence at hiring, building, retaining other leaders
