As the Consultant – Managed Infrastructure (SQL) you will provide 24x7 deep technical troubleshooting for escalated issues that involve our customers most technically complex or sensitive support situations. You will operate under pressure to isolate problems which are directly affecting our customer systems.


You will work as part of a team to lead problem resolutions requiring extensive analysis, troubleshooting and escalation to application vendors as necessary.


Your extensive skills will play an integral role in developing the team through quality reviews of tickets and customer interactions across the Cloud Managed Services channels of communication. You will mentor and train the team to help them resolve support cases.


The Consultant – Managed Infrastructure (SQL) facilitates training and workshops for SoftwareONE Cloud Managed Services personnel in your team.

Skill Requirement

  • Respond and analyze complex enquiries of technical and functional nature not in routine and require deviation from standard procedures
  • Design database schemas and diagrams for SQL Server and/or Microsoft Azure databases
  • Develop and monitor time-sensitive ETL processes to assure accurate and on-time delivery
  • Utilize development and scripting languages such as Java, Python, or Perl for solution optimization
  • Experience on SQL database on premise i.e Migration on different version, SQL BI (analysis services, reporting services, integration services)
  • Understanding of Azure data services like Document DB or Amazon RDS
  • Should have an exposure of Azure Machine Learning
  • Knowledge on end to end integration of various products in Microsoft Cortana intelligence suite
  • Working knowledge on Azure HD Insight, Hive, Hbase , Spark etc
  • Create and implement automated processes that deliver quality and eliminate unnecessarily manual processes
  • Proactively identify issues and work to resolve in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technology platforms to develop knowledge necessary to support Client delivery
  • Be a positive influence for change management; lead by example
  • Build knowledge across all categories to become the key information resource for internal and external clients
  • Maintains documentation on all critical processes
  • Develops standard specifications to ensure consistent and accurate processes
  • Take ownership and accountability of internal projects and assigned workload
  • Expert use of MS Office Suite, and Microsoft CRM
  • Experience in using enterprise class infrastructure and application monitoring solutions
  • ITIL Foundation Level certified (minimum)



  • Industry certified in Technology Services Practice area (Data Analytics)
  • MCDBA and/or other, related Microsoft certifications desired
  • .Net and/or LAMP development background a plus
  • PostgreSQL DBA and/or development experience a plus
  • NoSQL DBA and/or development experience a plus
  • Understands the implication of change though the implementation of technology to the business
  • Strong structural work methods, multitasking and time management skills
  • Excellent problem solving and assertive consultative skills
  • Experience working in ISO/IEC 20000 certified organization
