As an Associate Consultant – Managed Infrastructure you will provide 24x7 technical support for issues that involve our Cloud Managed Services customers. You will operate under pressure to isolate problems which are directly affecting our customer systems.


Using your experience and sound technical knowledge you will develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for the Cloud Managed Services team. You will lead the App Services Engineering strategic efforts – working on all 3 layers of the stack related to infrastructure, middleware, and continuous integration and delivery frameworks.

You will troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis to address routine to moderately complex reporting issues with accuracy or performance. You will be responsible for daily activities of Quality Assurance. This will include but not be limited to creating test environments on cloud platforms; troubleshooting OS and third party application

issues; deploying, installing, configuring proprietary software; monitoring usage and performance as it applies to the environments; and assisting in gathering of metrics to forecast future growth needs.


You will define and evolve Build & Release best practice by working within teams and educating the other stakeholder teams. These best practices should support traceability & auditability of change.


You will be working in a fast-paced environment supporting SoftwareONE customers around the world. You will need to keep your skills up-to-date and relevant for the cloud technologies which SoftwareONE offers services for.


Your spoken English language skills will be used for communication with customers as required; understanding requirements and keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of updates for Service Requests.


The team which you work in provides support services focused on cloud technologies across Workplace, Data Center and Security. As a member of this team you will have the opportunity to develop your deep technical knowledge or broaden your skills across the different Practice areas.


Responsibilities and Requirement


  • Desire to work in fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Understand that this is a 24x7 environment and a willingness to work across shifts during this time frame
  • Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
  • You have experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
  • You have a strong Linux background and 3+ years’ experience with Linux Administration and shell scripting
  • You have experience with branching strategies in Git and experience creating jobs and pipelines in CD/CI tools like Jenkins, bamboo or CircleCI
  • Working knowledge across IaaS providers like AWS, Azure and RackSpace
  • You have experience working in Agile environments with multiple teams operating in parallel to accomplish a large initiative deployments
  • You have excellent communications skills with the ability to manage challenging conversations in a professional manner
  • Methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • You have a passion for technology and see cloud technologies as a challenge
  • Active listener and effective communicator
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
  • Contribute to the central escalation knowledgebase


  • Maintain industry accreditation in Technology Services Practice area (Workplace, Data Center or Security)
  • Understands the implication of change though the implementation of technology to the business
  • Strong structural work methods, multitasking and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in ISO/IEC 20000 certified organization


Additional Skill Requirement

  • Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting cloud-based infrastructure
  • Experience working with automated provisioning tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Experience with CI systems such as Jenkins/Hudson, Travis, Circle CI or Bamboo
  • Expert knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with monitoring infrastructure such as New Relic or nCentral SolarWinds
  • Proficient scripting in Python, Bash, or similar
  • ITIL Foundation Level certified (desirable)
