    The Marketing Specialist works with team members to develop, execute, and manage both internal and external marketing processes and functions. Marketing objectives will include, but are not limited to, collateral design and development, construction and delivery of communication pieces, design and implementation of marketing pieces for a variety of activities such as campaigns, sales SPIFF programs, events, and eMarketing, along with consistent activity ROI reporting. Candidate must possess an outgoing, “can-do” attitude and be able to interact effectively, positively, and professionally with all parties involved in business activities including partners, publishers, customers, vendors, sales team members and other marketing team members.



    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Oversees overall execution of marketing support that delivers value across 4 “customer” segments as well as drive business growth and profitability:
      • publisher partners such as Microsoft, McAfee, Symantec, and Adobe
      • internal sales and alliance team members
      • VAR partners leveraging co-marketing initiatives
      • direct business customers
    • Manage creative multi-pronged marketing initiatives through the use of a variety of delivery mechanisms to include but are not limited to: direct mail, email blasts, call down structures, web casts, in-person events, appointment setting structures and other lead generation activities.
    • Manages 3rd party marketing agency with branding and sales collateral support initiatives
    • Manages marketing initiative planning to ensure proper market segmentation and content development to execution and detailed, consistent ROI reporting
    • Provides support for eMarketing activities including proof-reading, user-experience and web-site viability, and occasional content preparation and updating.
    • Supports and executes communications initiatives such as internal press releases, story pitches to traditional print and industry publications, and other creative pieces that promote the company or support team members as they pitch the company externally.
    • Ensures that all team members understand and relay proper SoftwareONE messaging in all internal and external communications, protect both the SoftwareONE and VARassist brands, and work to ensure that company messaging is compelling and consistent in all collateral, web messaging, and campaign initiatives.
    • Provides support with marketing events and activities including but not limited to research and logistics planning, creating invitations and registration sites, following budgets, tracking and reporting.
    • Manages internal marketing budget and MDF process and allocation, keeping organized tracking of all expenditures and income to ensure balanced spending and maximization of funds versus activity level
    • Works with graphics software packages to design, develop, produce and update collateral to support sales and corporate initiatives.
    • Employs superior organizational skills to prioritize projects, balance workload and deliver results.


    • BA/BS Required
    • Prefer 1-3 years of total marketing experience
    • Superior oral and written communication skills; Copywriting experience is preferred
    • Good negotiation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent problem solving abilities and detail oriented
    • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Adobe family (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design)
    • Some possible travel
