Summary

 

Working in a team environment, the Associate/Associate Consultant (SAM Technical) is responsible for implementing, engaging, assisting customers in understanding and managing of different SAM Solutions. The Associate/Associate Consultant (SAM Technical) is also responsible of keeping the Global SAM Team aware of technology changes and what are the best practices for different solutions.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities for the Role

 

  • Implement & Configure SAM tools in customer’s environment
  • Supporting and training on SAM tools to customers
  • Executing Proof of Concepts in customer environments
  • Managing and supporting hosted and on-premise SAM solutions
  • Interaction directly with customers to troubleshoot and solve configuration issues
  • Document customer configurations within their environment
  • Creating technical and functional documentation as per requirements
  • Supporting and training of global SAM team on various SAM Solutions
  • External technical coordination with customers and SAM tool providers
  • Acts as a bridge between SoftwareONE and SAM Solution Providers

Qualifications

Skills Required:

 

  • At least 1-3 years of proven experience in IT Service Desk / Remote support team
  • Advanced technical skills regarding system platforms (client & server) and other midrange environments
  • Solid understanding of IT environments and infrastructure (Infra and Networking)
  • Ability to install / configure SAM solutions remotely preferably Brainware ( Spider ), Flexera, Snow, Aspera, ILMT, HP Asset Manager
  • SQL scripting, PowerShell scripting, handling Windows Performance & Memory management, Windows registry, Patch deployment, Managing Windows Server environment, backup & restoration Database Server & File server.
  • Basic Knowledge of CMDB’s, and Software Management tools / solutions highly desired.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools like Service Now, Remedy etc. is desired.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, User Management, Working with Citrix, VM, Windows Server Administration etc.
  • Experience with other platforms such as IBM, Unix, Linux, Mac is a plus
  • SAM Accreditation/ ITIL V3 foundation certification.– Preferable
  • Sound knowledge with IT Remote Support and tools e.g. LogMe In, Bomgar, Team Viewer, WebEx etc
