Software Asset Management Lead

 

 

Summary:

Working in a team environment, the SAM Lead is responsible for developing new SAM Business as well as maintaining and support existing business.  The SAM Lead is in charge of the local SAM Team following the guidance of the Global SAM Framework.  Responsible of maintaining the relationship between the sales team and the SAM team developing the go to business strategy and sales execution for the SAM Services.  Works closely with the sales team and is in charge of the local sales execution of SAM.  Responsible with engaging key customers on a daily/weekly basis to ensure they are properly served.  Responsible of further developing the internal SAM team based on the global SAM strategy.  In charge of supporting some of the key accounts and perform some SAM tasks such as training, inventory or license compliancy

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Consulting regarding customers SAM project needs
  • Executing SAM projects, rollout and transfer of a running system to the customer
  • Supporting and training internal SAM Consultants and customers
  • External technical and project coordination with customers and SAM tool providers
  • Management of SAM sales, SAM Team und SAM tool vendors
  • Analyzing and developing the local market
  • Working with different SoftwareONE subsidiaries around the world
  • Further developing the local SAM business
  • Working with key SoftwareONE SAM customers and different sales teams
  • Maintaining Software/Licensing knowledge and learning SAM Technology
  • Helping to expand SoftwareONE’s SAM Service

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • 2-3 years professional sales experience in licensing industry with successful software sales / software licensing experience is a must
  • Highly motivated and results oriented
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, multitasking, time management skills
  • Very good problem solving and consultative skills required
  • Sales oriented personality required
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Being able to travel to customers and within the country

 

Competence:

  • Analytical and Project Management skills
  • Logical and Leadership skills
  • Licensing advanced skills regarding system platforms (MS & Oracle), client & server and midrange and large environment.
  • Very good understanding of Microsoft’s Software Platform such as Windows Servers, Windows Operation Systems, Database, Desktop / Server Management.
  • Very good understanding of IT environments/infrastructure. Being able to install SAM solutions from remotely and on-site.
