The Accountant fulfills an integral transactional and reporting function in the Finance department of SoftwareONE.  This role will primarily be responsible for the Microsoft Vendor Billing reconciliation, but will at times be asked to assist with other accounting matters such as; Inventory Control, Sales Tax, Monthly Account Reconciliations, Month-end close accruals and other special projects as needed.  The Accountant will report directly to the Controller and provide support to the Controller and the finance team.


  • Reconcile Microsoft Vendor Billings including all US Navision transactions
  • Review Microsoft vendor variances, conduct research, engage other departments both in US and Internationally, resolve all possible vendor billing discrepancies within the allowable contract window, report unreconcilable items within return window to operations team for action, educate process owners how to reduce future reconciliation issues
  • Provide support for the financial information of the organization including daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions/transactions
  • Maintain the general ledger accounts by monitoring journal entry preparation; prepare monthly accruals and entries and reconcile accounts
  • Assist with month end closing activities
  • Assist with credit/rebills, open orders and annual billings when needed
  • Inventory control & reconciliation
  • Conduct financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as required
  • Assist with internal audit reviews and implement recommendations as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 3-5 years of prior experience in the Accounting field
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or comparable.  CPA or working toward a CPA preferred
  • Must possess organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet established deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Prior experience working with an ERP system – Navision preferred
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • MS Office experience required including extensive Excel knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
