The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and managing both internal and external marketing processes and functions across the subsidiary.  This role’s objectives may include designing and creating collateral, communication pieces, presentations, marketing pieces and web content for a variety of activities such as campaigns, events, and eMarketing.  The Marketing Specialist works closely with other marketing team members and must be able to interact effectively, positively, and professionally with all parties involved in business activities including partners, publishers, vendors, and sales team members.


  • Provides support to marketing and sales teams by developing local marketing strategies and activities
  • Shares and coordinates best practices across all teams with internal and external experience and information (i.e. regular marketing newsletter)
  • Produces and updates collateral to support sales and corporate initiatives using graphics software
  • Manages the development and execution of sales events. This involves smaller regional client events, trade shows, and larger SoftwareONE internal events such as National Sales Kickoff, Midyear Meetings, Microsoft WPC, and Leadership Meetings
  • Assists in creative, multi-pronged, global marketing campaigns through the use of a variety of delivery mechanisms including direct mail, email blasts, call down structures, webcasts, and in-person events
  • Creates and maintains image library for newsletters, websites and other customer materials
  • Provides support for eMarketing activities including user-experience and website viability and content preparation
  • Creates and updates power point presentations for sales teams and company Leadership
  • Creates banner ads and other images for websites
  • Understands and communicates SoftwareONE messaging in both internal and external communications, protects both the SoftwareONE and VARassist brands, and works to ensure that our messaging is compelling and consistent in all collateral, web messaging and campaign initiatives
  • Responsible for managing strategic vendor relationships and the development of marketing plans that align with SoftwareONE’s go-to-market strategies
  • Responsible for strategic marketing projects such as the Quarterly Customer Survey, Win Wires, Press Releases, and the promotion of SoftwareONE culture


  • University degree Required
  • 1-3 years of total design-related and digital marketing experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable with SEO
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Adobe family (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Portfolio of previous work is requested
  • Ability to build relationships with Publishers
